Background of the project

With the development of network technology and computer technology, the application of IP network based on TCP/IP protocol has been widely popularized. The construction of high-speed broadband backbone network and the rapid development of high-speed access systems in various regions have promoted various video communication applications based on IP technology. With the rapid development of computer and network technology, especially the increasing maturity of video encoding and decoding technology, the rapid improvement of computer processing power, and the gradual popularization of broadband, the real-time application of Internet-based video network has been widely adopted in many industries and government departments, especially in banking, radio and television, petroleum, electricity and other industries, and many successful cases have emerged.

Network video surveillance technology, as a new generation of video surveillance technology developed on the basis of network technology, can not only make full use of the unique bandwidth conditions provided by the network to build a low-cost, distributed, networked monitoring system, but also greatly improve the level of monitoring and management. Building a network monitoring system with advanced technology, reliable quality, economical and practical, and easy management will provide important guarantees for maintaining urban stability, combating crimes, and protecting the lives and property of citizens. In the network video monitoring project, the server realizes the management of the front-end camera, video forwarding, and monitoring of the monitoring site, recording, query, alarm and other functions. Due to the large number of monitoring points and the sharp increase in the number of cameras, massive control data requires storage, sharing and calling. This puts higher requirements on the network video monitoring system.

An Introduction

The design of the network video surveillance system follows the concept of front-end camera selection, transmission part assembly, and back-end management system design, building a hierarchical network video surveillance system to lay a solid foundation for future system applications, system maintenance, system management, and system expansion.

 

Solution Analysis

All front-end cameras use high-definition IP cameras and are connected to the monitoring center through the network. In the monitoring center, we use PowerLeader PR2510P2 as the management server, streaming media server, and alarm management server, and PowerLeader PR2012P as the storage management server. Through the network, we manage and control the entire monitoring system video, including front-end camera parameter settings, video storage, video playback, authority management, multi-screen real-time video monitoring, etc. The back-end disk array centrally stores all the front-end collected videos. We use PowerLeader GS-5316Dv3 IPSAN for the disk array. GS-5316Dv3 is IPSAN storage with strong expansion capacity, high throughput and IOPS value, which can fully meet the needs of the central storage construction for subsequent storage expansion and high-definition video data concurrency. When you need to expand the disk space, you only need to directly connect the GS-5316Dv3 expansion cabinet to the back end of the GS-5316Dv3.
